Guilty Pleasure: Jason Derulo - It Girl [Pop]

Pop music is in human nature. There is no denying it. Everyone has those pop songs that you secretly love/ have a "Guilty Pleasure" for. This is my latest.

Jason Derulo has finally found the ‘It Girl’ of his dreams in his latest single, a catchy pop song with major hit potential.
Leave the “Banana Boat Song,” gimmicks and vocoders in favor of acoustic guitar and whooshy sounds to signal that Derulo is all lovey-dovey and poised to woo you.
Even though it's nothing special lyrically or conceptually, ‘It Girl’ could be his best single to date. He starts by singing about how he’s searched all over and finally found the girl he’s been waiting for. Then comes that killer hook - From the sweet whistling intro to the acoustic guitar melody to the “oh-oh-oh-oh” vocal chants.

It is just Pop music. Why can't we leave it alone?...Who knows. I shall leave that to the researchers to find out what is in Pop music that makes our minds reacts the way it does.
For now, take a listen and judge for yourself. Leave your comments.

Guilty Pleasure: Yung Joc Ft. Rick Ross - Ugh!

Remember Yung Joc in 2006 guaranteeing that ‘it’ was going down at the mall, the parking lot – anywhere you might meet him? well the hustlenomic major is back with a new trick - capitalizing on Rick Ross’s beloved 'UNGH' adlib, comparing his women and cars to ‘UnGH’...whatever that's supposed to mean. But somehow, someway it fits.

I So should not like this...its so bad....so....so Bawse.

Guilty Pleasure: Wynter Gordon - Don't Stop Me

I remember when Wynter was doing R&B....Despite having a great voice, It was nothing "exciting" to the R&B scene. I'm glad she is sticking to this Pop dance thing she has going. Works very well. Her album "With Music I Die" is catchy-good...Very well indeed.
Check out her 3rd single "Don't Stop Me" below:

This one is for the Mooseheads/Academy fiends.

Video/Guilty Pleasure: Jawan Harris - Keisha (ft. Tyga)

After his first single "Another Planet ft. Chris Brown" flopped, Young'n Jawan Harris comes back with his new single "Keisha".
Now, normally i would not post this type of track due to its unoriginality and "teenybopper"-ness. However, these days the younger artists seem to be "fake". This track tells Jawan's dilemma about the girl he likes who doesn't even know he exists (I'm feeling the same way Jawan!). This is what young artists should be singing about - not true love, partying on friday or being the flyest/hottest kid...Back to the days of Aaron Carter and his Crazy little party girl.

Jawan's vocals are on lock, which complement the classic Rhythm & Blues backing. The video demonstrates some of his dancing skills, although they do a lil too much in the locker scene. Anyways, Check it out then leave a comment!

** Tyga's Cardigan is dope - Get it @ General Pants & Co.
***Jawan kinda looks like a lil Chris Tucker

Guilty Pleasure: Bobby Brackins ft. Dev - A1

Heres a track i've had on repeat since the clip came out in March.
The rapper, Bobby Brackins is umm....(what can i say) - well he's a guy.
Dev is a mainstream w****. However, she does look hella sexy in this clip (her voice always does). Another song that she is in, that pays reference to "Like a G6".

Beat is sweet tho - Catchy as hell.

Ahhh yes. One of my Guilty Pleasures. Don't Hate.
